The Physician of the Soul Program

Tree of Life Since ancient times there have always been those who understand that dis-ease within the soul can manifest itself in a broad range of afflictions, including physical illness, emotional suffering, troubled relationships, and other areas of difficulty in living. The Physician of the Soul program of study provides the student with insights into becoming an effective spiritual healer through introductory classes on videotape on a broad range of holistic healing techniques and disciplines, many of which have been used effectively for thousands of years.

Dis-eases of the soul may be viewed as a sense of separation, blockage or disruption between the afflicted and his or her source of health and energy, however that source may be conceived. The process of healing, then, is one of reconciliation or bringing into focus the reality of that connection. The sacramental nature of healing in all religious traditions reflects such an understanding.

The title "Physician of the Soul" was first used by Moses Maimonides (1135-1204), the Spanish-born Jewish philosopher and medical physician who recognized and used a holistic approach to healing. Students of this video course who have met all completion requirements are awarded certification recognizing them as modern-day "Physicians of the Soul."

Videotapes introduce the student to such holistic healing techniques and disciplines as Creative Visualization, Homeopathic Healing, Hypnotherapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Reiki, Rebirthing, Shiatsu, Shamanic Healing, the Tao of Revitalization, Therapeutic Touching, Tibetan Healing Rites, and Kabbalistic Healing. This videotaped program of study was produced by the New York Training Institute for Kabbalistic Healing and Visual Meditation, and is sponsored by All-Faiths Seminary International.

In keeping with All-Faiths Seminary International's philosophy of "Never instead, always in addition," the institute does not offer these spiritual approaches to healing as a replacement or substitute for conventional healing modalities such as medicine and psychotherapy. The course is intended to introduce methodologies that can serve as an adjunct and supplement for conventional modalities, providing additional choices for individuals seeking help in spiritually directed healing.

Students may begin their training at any time. Classes are on videotape, supplemented by written materials and access to faculty members of All-Faiths Seminary International via correspondence.
